Chelsea are reportedly exploring a summer deal for Club Brugge centre-back Joel Ordonez.
The Blues are poised to strengthen their defensive department this summer, and a new central defender could be targeted.
They have been closely monitoring Ordonez’s performances at Brugge and could make a summer swoop for his services.
The 22-year-old is a right-footed centre-back. He has a passing accuracy of 91 percent this term with 60 percent duels won.
He has also made three recoveries and three clearances per game.
The Ecuadorian has immense potential, and he has been recommended to the Blues’ hierarchy by compatriot Moises Caicedo.
Brugge are eyeing at least £30 million for the talented centre-back, but the price could increase in case there is a bidding war.
Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford are also keeping tabs on the South American ace ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Blues could part ways with multiple central defenders this summer including Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo.
