Arsenal defender Ben White will be sidelined for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain later this month.
The Englishman sustained a knee ligament injury during the 1-0 Premier League win over West Ham United on the road.
Manager Mikel Arteta was worried about the right-back after the game, and a concerning injury has now been confirmed.
The former Brighton man has been ruled out for the remainder of the league campaign as well as the Champions League final.
He is also a major doubt for the World Cup squad with England. He has made the provisional cut, but may not make the final 26.
White will be bitterly disappointed, considering he was recently called up by Thomas Tuchel and excited to play for the Three Lions.
In his absence, Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold could be a beneficiary. He is a contender to make the final squad.
With White sidelined, Cristhian Mosquera is poised to start for the Gunners in the next Premier League game against Burnley at home.
