Second-row forward Finn Baker has signed a new three-year contract to stay with Newcastle Red Bulls until the summer of 2029.

Baker, 21, has already played 15 games for Newcastle while also completing a geography degree at Durham University.

But now he will remain part of the Red Bulls’ rebuilt squad under new head coach Dan McFarland.

“It’s great to have had so many opportunities to play for the club, teaching me some valuable lessons,” the 6ft 7in forward told the club’s website, external.

“I’m really looking forward to continuing to grow and improve with the team over the coming season, and into the future.”
