Chelsea are willing to lower their valuation for Manchester City target Malo Gusto after signing Marco Palestra.

Gusto has been Reece James‘ understudy at right-back over the last few seasons, but his future has been put into doubt after the arrival of Palestra.

Man City are known to be interested in the Frenchman, and it has been claimed that manager Enzo Maresca is keen on a reunion with him.

An earlier report claimed that Chelsea may not entertain Gusto’s sale for less than Â£75m, but their stance has softened over the past few days.

Chelsea have spent almost Â£50m on purchasing Palestra from Atalanta, and seem prepared to consider a similar package for Gusto’s departure.

The former Lyon man is presently with France at the World Cup, but he has already instructed his entourage to look at possible transfer offers.

Alongside Gusto, the Blues are open to selling midfielder Andrey Santos. Manchester United are leading the race to land the Brazilian ace.
