Chelsea star misses training ahead of Arsenal clash

Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has not been spotted in training ahead of the Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The Blues take on the Gunners in north London this weekend. They are currently on an 11-match winless streak against them and will seek to end it this time around.

Ahead of the London derby, there is some disappointing news on the fitness front, with Caicedo absent from today’s first-team training session.

The Ecuadorian did not feature in Chelsea‘s first two games of the season due to a knock. He returned as a substitute against Brighton & Hove Albion, only to suffer a fresh injury after just 11 minutes.

Caicedo has not returned to training thus far, and he appears to be a huge doubt to face the Gunners on the road on Sunday afternoon.

Blues manager Xabi Alonso should provide a clear update on the midfielder’s fitness in tomorrow’s press conference from Cobham.
