Fans of Pokémon queued for hours outside toy shops for an eagerly-anticipated new release.

The brand has brought out a special anniversary edition of its trading card game, which has been played for 30 years.

The BBC spoke to avid collectors in Norfolk waiting outside Roys Toys in Wroxham and Kerrison’s Toys in Norwich, and there were at least 150 people queuing outside Smyths in Costessey.

One fan, Charlie, who had queued since midnight, said he was “really excited” about the new release, and found the game was a great way to bond with his son.
