The 30-year-old joined Leicester in 2025 from French club Agen and scored 217 points in 24 appearances in all competitions during his debut season.

His form earned him a nomination for the Prem player of the season award in 2025-26.

Head coach Geoff Parling told the club website:, external “Billy has produced performances of great attacking intent and game management, but what’s impressed me the most is the professionalism he’s shown and his intent to keep improving.”

Searle added: “I really enjoyed my first season here so it was an easy decision to extend.”

Leicester have not confirmed the length of Searle’s new contract.
