Manchester United manager Michael Carrick heaped praise on Bryan Mbeumo after the 1-1 Premier League draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils saw their winless league streak extend to four matches after a stalemate against Spurs. Mbeumo opened the scoring with a fine strike, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

A poor piece of defending from Lisandro Martinez paved the way for Dominic Solanke to score a stoppage-time equaliser for Spurs, who were down to 10 men from the 78th minute.

Speaking after the game, Carrick had fond words to say about Mbeumo; he said: “We know that Bryan [Mbeumo] has excellent qualities. He has played in different positions with us. A very good finish from him.”

Mbeumo has had a superb record against Spurs over the years, and he scored his seventh goal against them at Old Trafford.

United have no time to ponder about the result, considering they have a difficult Champions League trip to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
