Arsenal lining up January move for Bundesliga winger

Arsenal are weighing up a move for RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa as they look to bolster their left-wing department, according to Football Insider.

The Gunners were eager to land a marquee winger in the last transfer window, but were unsuccessful in their pursuit. Morgan Rogers was the first target for the club, but he ended up joining Chelsea from Aston Villa.

The London giants then focused on landing Real Madrid star Vinicius, but he ended up signing a long-term deal with Los Blancos. Hence, Arsenal ended the window with just one left-wing signing in Christos Tzolis.

This has left them somewhat short in the department, given they parted ways with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli. Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze have played as makeshift options recently due to Tzolis’ hamstring injury.

Arsenal are expected to address the concern in January and have their sights on landing Nusa, who already has five goal contributions for Leipzig this term. The Gunners could tempt Leipzig with a £60m proposal.

The German club are reluctant to sell him at the midway stage of the campaign, but a move could materialise if the Norwegian pushes to join the Gunners.
