Eddie Howe set to become Man Utd manager?

Former Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe looks poised to become the new manager of Manchester United, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Red Devils suffered a disappointing 3-0 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League earlier today, much to fans’ frustration worldwide.

The Old Trafford faithful still applauded manager Michael Carrick off the field, but the decision has now been made to part ways with him.

The hierarchy had already started the process of pursuing a replacement, and Howe has now emerged as the front-runner to secure the position.

Carrick is likely to be dismissed from the helm tomorrow morning, and United could immediately hand Howe the managerial reins.

United visit Chelsea in the Premier League next weekend and the board may want Howe to take charge as soon as possible in training.

The Red Devils have gone winless for eight straight matches and they are currently just one point adrift of the Premier League drop zone.
