Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have joined the pursuit of Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, according to Football Insider.

The German has made huge strides during his time at Brugge, and he has started the current season brightly with 12 goals in 14 matches.

His progress has caught the eye of elite European clubs. Arsenal and Manchester United have held a long-term interest in him.

The duo are not alone, with Chelsea and Spurs also exploring the possibility of landing the 22-year-old, who could cost around £42 million.

However, Brugge are unlikely to entertain a mid-season exit.

They are in a strong position to negotiate, with another two-and-a-half years left on his contract, and prefer to sell him during the summer.

Tresoldi is likewise pleased with his current situation at the Belgian champions and he is prepared to assess his options in June/July.

Barcelona are also admirers of the former Hannover man and could make an offer of their own at the end of the ongoing campaign.
