Newcastle sign Gloucester lock Jordan for 2026-27

Newcastle Red Bulls have signed lock Cam Jordan from fellow Prem side Gloucester from next season on a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old has made a total of 80 appearances for the Cherry and Whites in all competitions since his debut in 2019-20.

Jordan’s departure from Gloucester comes after they signed Joe Joyce on Tuesday as well as fellow lock and World Cup winner Jean Kleyn for next season.

“Red Bull are an organisation with a proven track record for success in any sport they are involved with,” Jordan said.

“The ambition for the future of Newcastle Red Bulls is very exciting, and something I’m looking forward to being a part of.”

Having joined from Leicester Tigers, Jordan has so far made 48 Prem appearances for Gloucester in six seasons with the club.

“Cam is a big, physical lock who will help add go-forward and set-piece ability to our squad,” sporting general manager Neil McIlroy added.

“He has a lot of Gallagher Prem experience, he’s at a good age and he will be an important part of that engine room aiming to get us on the front foot.”
