Arsenal and Chelsea will need to pay around £70m to prise Anthony Gordon away from Newcastle United during the summer transfer window, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Englishman has been one of the standout performers for the Magpies this term and he has made almost 25 goal contributions across all competitions.
Gordon has been quiet about his future over the last few months, but insiders claim that he is evaluating his options ahead of the next transfer window.
With the Magpies not in Europe next term, he has his sights on pursuing a bigger challenge. Bayern Munich are keen on him, but they are not alone in the pursuit of the former Everton man.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also long-term admirers of the Englishman and could make offers of their own. The Magpies value him at £80m, but could eventually accept £70m for a summer sale.
Newcastle may require a big-money transfer to balance their financial books this summer. There is a possibility that more than one marquee player could depart in the next transfer window.
