Arsenal have set their asking price to part ways with midfielder Fabio Vieira, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Gunners are eager to recoup funds from player sales, and Vieira is one of the club’s most sellable assets.

The Portuguese spent last season on loan with Hamburg, where he scored seven goals and provided six assists.

Hamburg are eager to retain his services, but Arsenal are reluctant to sell him for anything less than £15.4 million.

Hamburg can’t afford to pay any more than £8.6m and Arsenal may have to look elsewhere to sanction Vieira’s exit.

Nottingham Forest were linked with the playmaker earlier this summer and could emerge as possible suitors for him.

There is also interest from the Saudi Pro League for the 26-year-old, but Vieira prefers to continue in Europe next season.

Hamburg are his preferred destination but Arsenal should avoid losing his services for a knockdown fee this summer.

Alongside him, Reiss Nelson is also expected to be offloaded soon.
