Bournemouth have their sights on landing Arsenal playmaker Ethan Nwaneri on loan after sanctioning the sale of Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City this week.
The Cherries have been in the bottom half of the table for the last few weeks. They are now without their main talisman in Semenyo, who has joined the Cityzens for £65 million.
The South Coast outfit are determined to pursue a replacement and The Independent claim that Nwaneri has emerged as a loan solution for Andoni Iraola‘s side.
However, a deal seems unlikely to materialise. Arsenal are open to such an agreement, but Nwaneri has his sights on staying with the Gunners for the entire season.
The Englishman wants to experience the club’s strong title challenge from close quarters and does not plan to pursue a new challenge until the end of the campaign.
Nwaneri could push for a permanent move during the summer. It is claimed that he would prefer a move abroad rather than signing for another Premier League side.
