Chelsea have earmarked Fulham manager Marco Silva as one of the top candidates to become their next head coach, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Blues are without a permanent manager after parting ways with Liam Rosenior after a run of five straight league defeats without finding the back of the net.

The west London giants are looking at multiple options to fill the vacancy and Silva is reportedly one of the top names due to his good track record in English football.

Silva has transformed Fulham into a proper mid-table club over the past few years and he could be up for a bigger challenge away from the Cottagers this summer.

Chelsea are aware of his high ambitions and seem prepared to make a proposal to the Portuguese at the end of the ongoing Premier League campaign.

Fulham are unlikely to block their manager’s departure. Silva previously turned down Saudi interest, but could move on this time around.
