Chelsea transfer update on Maxence Lacroix

Chelsea are poised to land the signature of Crystal Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix in the next few days, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Frenchman recently underwent a medical with the west London giants after the clubs agreed on a package worth £52 million.

Since then, there has been no update on the player’s situation, but Romano insists that the transfer will be finalised pretty soon.

The reputed journalist added that the documents have been countersigned between the clubs and the final details need to be sorted.

It appears a matter of time before the deal is made official. Lacroix’s arrival is expected to pave the way for the departure of Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah has been fancied to move to Serie A. Como are currently leading the pursuit and continue to remain locked in talks with Chelsea.

There is a gap of almost £5m in the valuations between the clubs, but Como remain optimistic of landing his signature for around £25m.
