Chelsea want Spanish manager as next boss

Chelsea have earmarked Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola as their ideal solution for the head coach role, according to The Telegraph.

The Blues recently parted ways with Liam Rosenior after a run of five Premier League defeats without scoring, which has dropped them to eighth in the table.

The west London giants have started their search for a replacement and reports claim that they have established contact with Iraola for the vacancy.

Iraola has already confirmed his exit from Bournemouth at the end of the campaign and has his sights on pursuing a bigger challenge elsewhere.

An elite Premier League outfit would be at the top of his radar, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can convince him over the role.

Chelsea may not be playing Champions League football next term and there is a possibility that they may not feature in any European competition too.

This could be a potential deal-breaker in persuading Iraola.
