Arsenal defender Ben White is a target for Premier League duo Manchester City and Everton for a possible January transfer window move, with the England international defender reportedly unhappy with a lack of game time at the Emirates. White has suffered with injuries in recent years, as well as less opportunity since the arrival of Jurrien Timber, and is seriously considering a move away from the Gunners.
White is said to be open to the idea of a departure from North London, despite Mikel Arteta insisting that he has a role to play as a member of Arsenal‘s squad. Jurrien Timber is widely considered one of Europe’s best defenders, and his good form has seen White drop to the bench. But Ben’s injuries have been a source of concern for Mikel Arteta, and lack of match fitness continues to prevail.
It is understood that Everton are seeking defensive reinforcements, and Man City are desperate to sign a new defender before the January transfer window slams shut, with long-term injuries to Ruben Dias and Josep Gvardiol in recent weeks.
