Gloucester-Hartpury have signed Australia tight-head prop Bridie O’Gorman for the 2026-27 Premiership Women’s Rugby season.
The 27-year-old has 43 caps for the Wallaroos since making her debut in 2022, playing in both the delayed 2021 World Cup and last year’s tournament in England.
O’Gorman has been playing for NSW Waratahs and will join Gloucester-Hartpury following the WXV Series, which concludes at the end of this month.
Head of rugby Dan Murphy described O’Gorman as a set-piece specialist who would add international quality to their pack.
“She has built an impressive career in a relatively short space of time, having only started playing rugby at 19, and her journey through the Waratahs and into the Wallaroos speaks volumes about her ability and work ethic,” he said.
O’Gorman added the opportunity to play in a different country was a big part of the appeal to sign.
“Having played rugby in Australia throughout my career, the opportunity to experience a different competition, environment and style of rugby was something that sparked my interest,” O’Gorman said.
“Gloucester-Hartpury has a great reputation for competing at the highest level within the PWR, so it felt like a really exciting fit for me.”
Gloucester-Hartpury begin the new PWR season on 21 November away at Sale Sharks.
