Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has said that he has two world-class goalkeeper ahead of the FA Cup third round tie against Charlton Athletic on the road.
Rosenior was recently appointed as the Blues’ new head coach and he will be making his debut against Charlton. Ahead of the game, he has spoken fondly about the club’s goalkeepers.
Sanchez is currently the first-choice shot-stopper in the Blues squad, while Jorgensen has provided good backup whenever the Spaniard has been on the sidelines for any reason.
Rosenior said on the duo: “I’m very fortunate Filip Jorgensen and Robert Sanchez are world-class goalkeepers with their feet, but I’m not going to ask them to play from the halfway line straight away.”
The Blues suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to Fulham in the Premier League in midweek, and they are now languishing eighth in the table, four points adrift of the final Champions League position.
The west London giants will be aiming to return to winning ways against Charlton before welcoming Arsenal to Stamford Bridge for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday night.
