Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly keen on landing Mexican wonderkid Gilberto Mora at the turn of the year.

The 17-year-old is one of the best young playmakers in Mexican football, and he is free to join a European club after he turns 18 this month.

Mora’s representatives are working on a possible move, and it is claimed that Liverpool and Chelsea are already discussing transfer terms.

Furthermore, Mora is said to welcome the opportunity to play at the highest level, but he is unlikely to accept a regular role off the bench.

The youngster believes he has the credentials to start regularly in Europe’s top-five leagues, and this could see him snub the Reds and the Blues.

Benfica are also keen on landing the attacking midfielder and they could emerge as a genuine destination for him at the start of the New Year.

Mora has had a tremendous start to the season with Club Tijuana. He has already registered five goals and one assist in seven appearances.
