Man Utd eyeing shock loan for England star

Manchester United are eyeing a shock loan deal for Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney as they seek to bolster their centre-forward department this winter.

The Red Devils have had a horrendous Premier League campaign thus far, and they have picked up only seven points after nine matches.

They recently returned to winning ways with a 3-2 comeback win over Roma in the Champions League, but the pressure remains on manager Michael Carrick.

It is unclear whether Carrick will remain at the helm until the turn of the year, but United are still planning to strengthen their strike force for the back end of the season.

With Benjamin Sesko nursing a long-term shin issue, United are aware of the need for a marquee striker, who can aid their push for European football next campaign.

Toney has been a revelation in Saudi with Al-Ahli and United are now keen on bringing him back to English football on loan when the transfer window reopens this winter.
