Manchester United are closely monitoring the performances of Brentford right-back Michael Kayode with a view to a possible move next summer.
The Red Devils primarily focused on strengthening their midfield department this summer with the signings of Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba.
They are expected to prioritise defensive signings next year. A new left-back appears a necessity with Luke Shaw no longer in his prime. He could also leave when his contract expires in June 2027.
Similarly, United are open to landing a new centre-back and a right-back. For the latter of those positions, they are keeping tabs on Kayode’s progress at the Bees.
Kayode is currently indispensable at the west London outfit, but it is well known that Brentford are a selling club and won’t turn down the right offer for any player.
Brentford will not entertain bids at the start of the year, but could be open to parting ways with the Italian during next summer’s transfer window.
