Manchester United will reportedly need to pay around £20 million to purchase Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves during the winter transfer window.
The Red Devils returned to winning ways on Saturday with a sublime 2-0 win over Manchester City at Old Trafford. They were completely dominant and could have won the game by a bigger margin.
The mood is definitely high at the moment, and there is a possibility that interim boss Michael Carrick could be handed with funds to recruit a new midfielder before the transfer window closes.
Football Insider now claim that United are keeping a close eye on the contract status of Neves. His current deal expires at the end of the campaign.
Al-Hilal want to recoup some of the £47 million spent on the Portuguese, and reports claim that a package of £20 million could persuade them to sell.
Still, a deal could be complicated by the fact that Neves may have to accept a significant pay-cut of probably 50 percent or more to make the switch.
