Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has confirmed that midfielder Carlos Baleba will be sidelined for several weeks.

The Cameroon international suffered a hamstring injury against Roma in the Champions League, and he was replaced by Youri Tielemans.

Speaking in today’s presser, Carrick confirmed that Baleba’s injury is indeed serious and he will be out of action for a lengthy period.

The 45-year-old could not provide a timescale for the setback, but acknowledged that the midfielder will be out for weeks.

Tielemans had a good outing against the Giallorossi in the second half, but he could be found out against the Villans, who know him well.

Villa’s regular pressing and higher work rate could affect Tielemans, who possesses limited mobility and relies on top speed.

Hence, we would like to see Andrey Santos get the nod in the centre of the park alongside Kobbie Mainoo against Unai Emery‘s side.

The Red Devils desperately need to return to winning ways in the Premier League. They are just goal difference adrift of the drop zone.
