The tall stands of maple, pear, apple, and cherry trees that surround this renovated 1800s carriage house burst into fiery oranges and reds this time of year—perfect for an October or November visit when the colors reach their peaks. If you’re lucky, you might spot a hot-air balloon gliding onto the grass in a landing field behind the property, or a bright fox dashing across the lawn. Inside the house, which comfortably sleeps four people, there’s a movie theater–like setup for do-nothing nights in, cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
