In a joint statement, Cheryl, her cousin Antonia Elverson and the Pratt-Korbel family said Cashman’s guilty verdict after having to endure a trial lasting weeks “offered a measure of justice” but said it was “heartbreaking to see him regain the power to refuse to face our family, to listen to our words, and to acknowledge the pain he has caused”.
