With the 2026 FIFA World Cup less than 50 days away, the countdown to the world’s greatest soccer stage is officially on. As millions of fans get their travel plans in order, Airbnb is elevating the fan experience beyond solely the stadium seats. An official FIFA World Cup 2026 Tournament Supporter, Airbnb just launched a series of exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences designed to bring fans closer to the action than ever before.

Travelers can access a limited number of unique experiences: private training sessions with legendary pros; time on official World Cup turf where history will very soon be written; an afternoon with an Adidas design expert to craft a one-of-a-kind jersey that doubles as a real-deal souvenir. These brand-new experiences—some of which also include tickets to a game—range from $50 to $250 per person, and are designed to unite fans in ways a standard ticket never could. Read on for more information on all of the activities—plus how and when to access them.

[Editor’s note: While the Rio Ferninand experience is available earlier, on May 12, most other experiences open on May 20; we’ve indicated which date for each activity below. Set your alarm clocks now for your best chance at these once-in-a-lifetime experiences.]

An ultimate quarterfinal getaway with Rio Ferdinand

For the first time in three decades, Rio Ferdinand is stepping away from the commentator’s booth to experience the FIFA World Cup as a pure fan—and he’s bringing a few lucky guests along for the ride. From July 8 to 11, the former England captain will host the Ultimate Quarterfinal Getaway experience in Los Angeles, an all-access pass to the tournament’s ever-electric atmosphere. Guests will go behind the scenes at a live recording of his podcast, Rio Ferdinand Presents, before heading to the stands with tickets to a high-stakes quarterfinal match in the City of Angels.

As part of the experience, guests will stay in a private Airbnb in the heart of LA, complete with a personal chef and a curated “locals only” tour of the city’s best hidden foodie spots. You can attempt to snag one of the four available spots (plus a guest) for free starting May 12 at 5:00 a.m. EDT. It’s a first-come, first-served sprint to join Ferdinand for what he calls a “big summer” of proper access and moments—the ultimate way to see the games through the eyes of a legend.
