Arsenal have been offered the opportunity to land Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez in a player-plus-cash deal this summer, according to Cadena COPE.

The Spanish champions are huge admirers of Viktor Gyokeres and reports claim that they are keen on landing him as a replacement for Alvarez this summer.

Arsenal have now been offered the chance to land Alvarez in a part-exchange deal. Atletico want â‚¬50m plus Viktor Gyokeres to part ways with the World Cup winner.

Alvarez has his sights set on a dream move to Barcelona, but Atletico are adamant they won’t entertain the Argentine’s transfer to the Catalan giants this summer.

This could open the door for Mikel Arteta‘s side. Alvarez is said to be open to joining the Gunners if he can’t secure a dream move to the Camp Nou.

Alvarez, described as ‘world-class’ by FIFA.com, would be a good upgrade for the Gunners upfront due to his mobility and sublime finishing skills.
