Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Conservative party leader Kemi Badenoch have issued separate statements after Devon and Cornwall Police announced a murder investigation into the death of Ann Widdecombe.

The Reform UK spokeswoman and former Conservative minister was found dead at her Dartmoor home on Thursday morning.
