New photos show how the redevelopment of St Helen’s is progressing as the Ospreys prepare to move there next season.
After work began at the end of May, it is now gathering pace at the famous old ground, which is being transformed into a modern high-quality venue as part of an ambitious redevelopment project.
The first phase of the multi-million pound project will see the installation of a state-of-the-art 4G pitch, while there will also be new stands and a refurbishment of the clubhouse.

Photos from the site show the stands at St Helen’s being torn down as part of the redevelopment, while the huge floodlight tower that has stood for decades has also been brought to the ground.
With the playing surface torn up, industrial machinery has now well and truly taken over the site, with plenty of work still to do before the Ospreys’ first game back in Swansea.
Mark Jones’ side’s first game at St Helens has been pencilled in for October 24, when they face the Dragons in a United Rugby Championship Welsh derby clash.
The Ospreys had initially planned to play there during the 2025/26 campaign, but that ultimately didn’t materialise, with the region instead spending a season in Bridgend.
The off-field uncertainty around the club also saw Swansea Council refuse to release the full funding for redevelopment until the Ospreys’ future was guaranteed.
