Scotland v UAE ODI washed out at Forthill

Scotland’s one-day international against United Arab Emirates was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of persistent rain in Broughty Ferry.

The first match of the tri-series at Forfarshire Cricket Club was delayed by the weather and although conditions brightened as the day went on, no play was possible.

The Scots – who are second in the standings behind USA and just ahead of the Netherlands – have now had seven no-results in this Cricket World Cup League 2 cycle.

UAE play Canada on Wednesday before Scotland take on the Canadians on Friday.
