Wales have unveiled their new kit ahead of the 2026/27 season
Wales have unveiled their new kits ahead of the new season, with the kit being launched at the National Eisteddfod.
Once again designed by kit suppliers Macron, unsurprisingly, the home kit is red – with the design inspired by the Welsh Dragon. A repeated dragon pattern stretches across the shoulder and sleeves of the entirely red jersey.
After a year of wearing red shorts and white socks, Steve Tandy’s side will revert back to wearing white shorts and red socks with their home jersey.
The women’s team will continue to wear red shorts and white socks.
As for the away kit, they have once again opted for a white jersey with green details.
Taking inspiration from Welsh slate, there’s also a textured slate graphic across the jersey and shorts.

The Welsh Rugby Union say that “both kits have been designed around a single idea, creating shirts that carry Wales wherever they are worn, whether on the pitch, in the stands at Principality Stadium or by supporters across the world”.
The way the kits have been launched too represents a change in approach by the governing body, with players invited to wear casual clothing of their own choosing alongside the jersey – reflecting how fans will wear the new shirt on matchdays.
“These new kits represent far more than what our teams will wear on the field – they’re a celebration of who we are as a nation and what Welsh rugby stands for,” said WRU chief commercial officer, Tomos Grace. “From the dragon on our Home jersey to the slate-inspired design of the alternate kit, every detail has been created to reflect the pride, heritage and culture that make Wales unique.
“We’re placing Welsh identity at the heart of everything we do, and these kits are an important expression of that direction. They embody the values of our brand, celebrate our history and provide a modern look that will represent Welsh rugby with pride.
“We’re incredibly excited to launch this new range and look forward to seeing our players wear these jerseys on the international stage, while supporters across Wales and around the world make them their own. Whether you’re pulling on the shirt to represent your country or cheering from the stands, we hope everyone who wears these kits feels a strong connection to Wales and to the game we all love.”
Both jerseys are available to buy from August 6 from the Welsh Rugby Store in Cardiff, online at store.wru.co.uk, and through selected retailers.
Prices range from £68 for junior replica jerseys to £85 for the senior replica.
A senior authentic professional jersey will cost £118.
