The death of a hospital consultant, external who exchanged messages with the nurse Lucy Letby, is the main story for the Daily Mail. The paper says the 53 year-old’s body was found last month, a day after being dismissed from the NHS hospital where he worked.

The Telegraph says experts have called the decision to end the entitlement of middle-aged men to a blood test, that can help to identify prostate cancer, an “outrageous betrayal”, external. GPs will now decide who can be screened instead.

The paper says the French President has been accused of “megalomania”, after being photographed repeatedly on his three-week holiday doing things like hydroplaning, while the country deals with numerous wildfires.
