Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk prefers to stay in the Premier League this term despite the option of joining sister club Strasbourg on loan, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Ukrainian’s drugs ban ended earlier this summer, and the Blues believe he needs regular first-team football to revive his career.

They are ready to loan him out to Ligue 1 with Strasbourg, but Mudryk believes he can make an impression in the Premier League.

Leeds United have so far made a loan proposal which has been rejected, but the Whites are expected to make a fresh move very soon.

A number of other Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on him too and there could be some offers on the table before the deadline.

Chelsea are preparing for a busy end to the summer and there is an anticipation that midfielder Enzo Fernandez will be sold.

Manchester City are expected to make a big offer for the Argentine. The Blues have identified Monaco’s Lamine Camara as a possible successor.
