Swansea City have signed teenage Manchester City winger Jeremy Monga on loan for the remainder of the 2026-27 season.

Monga has been sent out to continue his development after moving to the Etihad Stadium from Leicester City in July.

Manchester City agreed a deal worth £10m plus add-ons to sign Monga just days after his 17th birthday.

The England Under-19 international, the third youngest player in Premier League history, will aim to play regular football at Swansea having scored once in 37 senior appearances for the Foxes.

Swansea City head coach Vitor Matos said: “Jeremy is a very exciting young player, one whose abilities are not common in players of his age.”

Monga is a product of Leicester’s academy and made his senior debut as a 15-year-old during the 2024-25 top-flight campaign.

He featured 30 times for the Foxes last season in the Championship before signing a five-year deal with Man City this summer.

At Leicester, Monga became the youngest goal scorer in the Championship when he netted against Preston North End in August last year.

Upon completing the signing of Monga earlier this summer, Man City director of football Hugo Viana hailed the teenager as an “exciting player” and added he has “already made huge strides in his young career”.

Matos is excited to have added the teenager to his squad after the Swans continued their unbeaten start to the Championship on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win against Watford.

“He has gained plenty of experience of first-team and Championship football, and has looked confident and shown an ability to effect games at this level,” said the head coach.

“We are delighted he and Manchester City have chosen Swansea as the place where they feel he can continue to develop and improve, and we are eager to see what he brings to the group.”

Due to his age, Monga will require a FIFA minor application exemption before he is able to play for the Swans, who host Welsh rivals Wrexham on Saturday (20:00 BST).
