Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has sent his immediate reaction after the club’s 2-2 Premier League draw against Hull City at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues started off brilliantly against the Tigers. Morgan Rogers scored in the seventh minute, and the club looked on course for an easy win.
However, they could not carry over the momentum, and a couple of defensive errors contributed to Hull taking the lead before the interval.
Chelsea fought back to grab an equaliser but could not seal the win.
Shortly after the game, Alonso said that Chelsea had a couple of good chances to win, but they got what they deserved for being too open.
He said: “We had one or two good chances to get the winner, but you’re still open. Not happy. We can do better. We got what we deserved.”
Chelsea are currently fourth in the league table with seven points, two behind leaders Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
