You just can’t argue with that Disney magic. Whether you’re a Disney adult or a begrudging occasional visitor, at some point throughout the day, a little bit of Disney dust will hit you. Maybe it’s the fireworks, or the rides, or the many, many Disney-shaped food items. If not that, it might be seeing the excitement on kids’ faces when they run into a princess, Avenger, or cartoon character IRL. I’m no Disney evangelist, but I would say that if you can’t have fun at a theme park, consider looking inward. (And okay, as a former resident of both California and Florida, I have spent more than my fair share of time at the parks on both coasts.) All that aside, trips to the parks are expensive, so if you’re here to find ways to save, I get it—below, find all the current discounts and promotions to be aware of before planning your next trip to Disneyland.
Disneyland discounts for Magic Key holders
For the uninitiated, annual passholders are called Magic Key holders, and they can pop in and out of Disneyland as they please (with some terms and conditions in there). Through September 7, these theme park enthusiasts can save up to 20% on select Standard and Premium room types at premium Disneyland Resort hotels. The offer is tailored to Sunday through Thursday night stays at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel. Of note, you must present a valid active Magic Key pass at check-in to secure the discounted rate.
Disneyland discounts for military members
Savings are available on an ongoing basis for active-duty and retired US military personnel, including the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Tickets start at $98 for kids of these travelers and $104 for adults purchasing a one-day, one-park ticket. These tickets may not be combined with other ticket discounts or promotions, and cannot be sold or transferred.
Locals get discounted Disney tickets for as little as $71
Through October 8, 2026, Anaheim, California, residents can purchase one-day passes for as little as $71. This is valid for any day visit taken by October 8. Proof of eligible residency, including a valid government-issued photo ID, is required for both purchase and admission.
Save on multi-day Disneyland tickets
While going to the parks for just one day is the most cost-effective option, your per-day cost does go down when you opt for multi-day tickets instead. For example, a one-day ticket will run you between $104 and $224 based on the date you select. If you go for two days, your price per day starts at $168; for three days, it drops to $142 and up per day; for four days, from $120 per day; and for five days, from $104 per day.
A few things to note: Disneyland is much smaller than Disney World, with just two parks, so it is possible to cover a good amount of ground in a single day. However, especially if you’re coming from out of town, you may want a few days there so there’s less pressure to squeeze every ride and meal into a single day.
There’s also the question of purchasing one-park-per-day tickets or upgrading to a Park Hopper ticket (an extra $100 per day). If you’re visiting for just one day, I’d suggest the Park Hopper ticket so you get to experience both parks. For multi-day trips, it really comes down to preference; you’ll want to decide between chunking out your park visits or having the freedom to roam back and forth between parks throughout the day (which, size-wise, is definitely doable).
