Number of guests: 6
Bed and bath: 4 bedrooms, 2 baths
Why we love it: Record player and vinyls, chicken coop, fall foliage
This is rural Connecticut at its best—a quaint, four-bedroom farmhouse set upon seven acres of Litchfield County land, where you can visit chickens, wind around orchards and corn fields, and gaze out at Lake Waramaug. Thanksgiving dinner will be a breeze, thanks to the Swedish wood-burning stove, Le Creuset cookware, and, as one guest reviewer noted, the “sharpest knives at any Airbnb I’ve ever used!” Share your meal at the midcentury-modern Danish dining table, which seats up to 10, then enjoy the record player in the music room or cuddle up with Pendleton blankets on the screened porch. Keep in mind the roosters do crow, but the morning alarm only adds to the bucolic charm.
