Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a winter move for Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey.
The Red Devils were open to landing a new marksman last summer, but could not find a suitable solution.
As a result, Joshua Zirkzee was not permitted to leave, but that could change at the turn of the year.
United were first interested in Brobbey when they appointed Erik ten Hag as their manager in 2022.
Ten Hag was eager to bring him to the Premier League, but the Dutchman decided to rejoin Ajax instead.
Brobbey eventually moved to England with Sunderland last summer and has netted 10 goals thus far.
He bagged a brilliant hat-trick against Manchester City recently, which has undoubtedly enhanced his reputation.
It is now claimed that United are keen on landing his signature but it could take a huge fee to prise him away.
Sunderland may want at least £50m for their marksman, but a winter deal seems unlikely to happen in our view.
The Dutchman has just suffered a potentially long-term hamstring injury which could scupper a winter switch.
