Arsenal are set for a timely defensive injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium next month.

The Gunners had a fantastic start to the campaign before a humbling 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break.

Ben White was not involved in that game or the one before it due to a groin issue, but he is expected to return against Leeds at home.

White started the campaign as the regular right-back for the Gunners, and he impressed with his chemistry alongside Bukayo Saka on the right flank.

However, the Englishman sustained an untimely groin issue at Sunderland, which paved the way for Jurrien Timber’s return after his own injury.

Timber played 60 minutes in the final game at Brighton before the break, but there is a possibility that White could be reinstated against Leeds.

Arsenal host the Whites at the Emirates on October 10. They did the double over the Yorkshire side last term with 5-0 and 4-0 wins.
