WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman has explained why he believes Roman Reigns is the most transformative talent in his career.

Heyman and Roman formed an alliance in August 2020, shortly after Reigns returned to WWE as a heel and introduced his Tribal Chief character. Paul became his special counsel, helping him establish dominance. Their partnership lasted five years before the two eventually went their separate ways.

Thanks for the submission!

Speaking on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, when asked about why he considers the OTC the most transformative talent in his career, Paul Heyman praised his athleticism, in-ring knowledge, and ability to connect with audiences. He admitted learning more from Reigns than the latter learned from him, adding that he helped shape the Tribal Chief’s character and identity.

“Because there is no one else I could have followed up my run with Brock Lesnar with than Roman Reigns. As an athlete, top tier, 100%. Top tier. Great athlete. As a performer, his knowledge of being inside that ring is second to none. I’ve learned more from Roman Reigns than Roman Reigns has learned from his Wise Man. He knows what to say. I think I added when to say it,” Heyman explained.

Speaking further, “But I’ve learned more from him than he has ever learned from me. He is the Tribal Chief. It was the easiest name I’ve ever come up with. He is a Tribal Chief and the WWE Universe is his tribe. He has created an island of relevancy that, when you are with him, you are relevant because you are in the presence of Roman Reigns.” [H/T –Fightful Select]

Paul Heyman says Vince McMahon never cared about being a good man

Paul Heyman has opened up about the complex and polarizing legacy of former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

According to Heyman, the billionaire executive never sought or valued the label of being perceived as a “good man.” Rather than measuring himself by conventional moral standards, McMahon focused entirely on his immense professional achievements and industry-shaping ambitions.

Heyman portrayed Vince as a deeply intricate figure whose self-assessment was completely detached from traditional virtue, emphasizing instead his massive historical footprint on the professional wrestling landscape.
