In around ten days, AEW will be heading to Phoenix, Arizona for this year’s edition of its annual pay-per-view, Full Gear. Before that, the Tony Khan-led promotion will be rolling into the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida this Wednesday for the 2026 edition of Dynamite: Blood and Guts.
The upcoming November 4 episode will feature two iterations of the titular Blood and Guts match. In the men’s division, the Don Callis Family will be taking on the team of Adam Copeland, Steven Borden, TNT Champion Darby Allin, World Tag Team Champions the Young Bucks, and AEW Men’s World Champion Will Ospreay. In the women’s division, the Triangle of Madness, the Divine Dominion and Persephone will battle Women’s Tag Team Champions the Brawling Birds, TBS Champion Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale and Wrathlander.
AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts will moreover continue to build the foundation for Full Gear by advancing other ongoing storylines. With that in mind, let us consider below three booking decisions Tony Khan could make this Wednesday in Jacksonville.
#1. Kyle Fletcher forces Will Ospreay to surrender in the Men’s Blood and Guts match
On the October 21 edition of Wednesday Night Dynamite, which followed on the heels of WrestleDream 2026, AEW Men’s World Champion Will Ospreay teamed up with Adam Copeland to face Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight in tag team competition. The Protostar succeeded at capturing the victory for his team thanks to outside interference from his fellow Don Callis Family stablemate, Kazuchika Okada. Post-match, several members of the villainous faction gathered and continued to attack the Rated-R Superstar and the Aerial Assassin.
Thankfully, Darby Allin arrived to make the save for the Billy Goat and Cope, with the returning Steven Borden and Nick Jackson in tow. The son of “The Icon” Sting, who was incapacitated at All Out 2026 during a tag team bout against Fletcher and Knight, issued the challenge to the Callis Family to face him, Darby, Copeland, Ospreay and the Young Bucks in this year’s Men’s Blood and Guts match. The Invisible Hand accepted the challenge, and will field the Aussie Arrow, the Jet, Okada, Wardlow, Davis and Doyle to represent their team.
Team Ospreay will no doubt be especially motivated to take down the DCF in the two-ring steel cage structure this Wednesday. However, the “Family” may hold the advantage in the bout overall, given that the faction has access to many other names, like Brian Cage, Lance Archer and RPG Vice, who could easily interfere in the matchup even without participating in it directly. Their superior numbers may allow Callis’ clients to secure the victory in Blood and Guts, especially if they strategically single out and go after Adam Copeland.
After all, the former AEW TNT Champion will be the oldest participant in the matchup, and in spite of his experience in hardcore bouts, Cope may nonetheless get overwhelmed by his opponents if they isolate and target him. Kyle Fletcher and his teammates could therefore threaten to obliterate the Hall of Famer’s neck, forcing Will Ospreay to surrender on behalf of his team to protect the legend’s career. Copeland could return this favor by backing up the Commonwealth Kingpin during his Full Gear World Title defense against Fletcher.
#2. Infighting between Wrathlander and the Brawling Birds costs the Women’s babyface Blood and Guts team
On Dynamite after WrestleDream 2026, the Divine Dominion and the Triangle of Madness launched a vicious ambush on the reigning AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, the Brawling Birds, and the number one contenders for their belts, the team of Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander. Eager to deliver some payback, the Cosmic Killer and her partner battled the Megasus and her Colossal teammate on the October 24 edition of Collision, but the bout ended in a DQ due to another attack from Thekla and the Sisters of Sin.
Thankfully for Wrathlander, Willow Nightingale rushed in to make the save for her friends with a steel chain, although the babyfaces were outnumbered and thus overwhelmed by their foes. Afterwards, the Babe with the Power laid out the challenge to Bayne, Kross, Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue to fight her, Stat, Harley and the Birds in the 2026 Women’s Blood and Guts match. After last week, newly crowned AEW TBS Champion Queen Aminata and former champion Persephone were announced to be joining the fray as well.
The most intriguing story heading into this year’s Women’s Blood and Guts seems to be the continued absence of Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor over the past couple of weeks, a fact that has caused Cameron and Statlander to express some apprehension over teaming with their Full Gear 2026 opponents. This tension could lead to teamwork issues erupting among the participants on the babyface side this Wednesday. In a match like Blood and Guts, such dysfunction is certain to prove costly.
The Dominion, the Triangle and Perse may therefore walk out of their upcoming steel cage war victorious after taking advantage of potential infighting between the Birds and Wrathlander, which could allow them to get at Harley and ultimately force her, or her partner Stat Daddy, to surrender.
#3. The Death Riders “conglomerate” on AEW Dynamite
On the October 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley defeated Roderick Strong in a Continental Title Eliminator match. After the bout, David Finlay and Clark Connors blindsided the Messiah of the Backbreaker, but to their surprise, the One True King intervened in Roddy’s favor, seemingly urging them to call off their assault. Shockingly, this prompted the Savage King and his “100 Proof” tag partner to attack Mox and even lay out Gabe Kidd, ending the Death Riders’ association with the Dogs.
As Finlay and Connors continued to brutalize Moxley and Strong, Kyle O’Reilly and Orange Cassidy arrived to make the save for their trios partner along with Jay White. Then, in yet another shocking twist, the Switchblade laid OC out with the Blade Runner, and his stablemates Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn took out KOR. The Bang Bang Gang and the Dogs joined forces to annihilate the Death Riders and the Conglomeration all together, revealing the formation of a new mega-alliance, initially called “The Final Outfit” before being changed to “The Cut.”
Last Wednesday on Fright Night AEW Dynamite, Mox challenged Jay White and his crew to face him and his team in an Anarchy in the Arena match at Full Gear 2026. Later on the episode, however, King Switch and his stable destroyed Claudio Castagnoli, causing the Swiss Cyborg to get stretchered out. Days later on AEW Collision, Robinson and the Gunns stole a trios victory from Orange Cassidy, Roddy Strong and Kyle O’Reilly courtesy of some brass knuckles, which Juice used to cause even more damage to the Conglomeration post-match.
Moxley and his soldiers have made it clear that they will go to war against the Cut without Castagnoli if necessary. However, the AEW Continental Champion’s team will seemingly be outnumbered by their enemies, assuming Mox will enter Anarchy in the Arena alongside Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta and Gabe Kidd to take on White, Finlay, Connors, Robinson, the Gunns and Ace Austin. Although the Death Riders are at a seven-to-four disadvantage right now, they may find some surprise reinforcements from the Conglomeration ahead of Full Gear.
Thus, this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts, Cassidy, Strong and O’Reilly could make the save for Mox and his team and help them fight off the Cut, afterwards announcing that they will be joining forces with the Death Riders for Anarchy in the Arena later this month.
