Blake Monroe is one of the top young stars in WWE right now who is currently on SmackDown. She recently unleashed on a WWE Legend and disrespected her online. The Legend in question is none other than Paige who returned to NXT for the first time in 12 years on this week’s episode of NXT.
Paige returned to WWE earlier this year at WrestleMania 42 when she was revealed as Brie Bella’s teammate after Nikki Bella was declared unfit to compete. She won the WWE Women’s World Tag Team titles in her return match by defeating the Irresistible Forces, Bayley & Lyra Valkyria and Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss. After losing her Tag titles a few months ago, she was betrayed by the Bella twins and has been feuding with Nikki Bella ever since.
Thanks for the submission!
On last weekend’s Halloween Havoc PLE, it was announced that Kelani Jordan will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against a mystery opponent on the next episode of the show. On this week’s show, Paige was revealed as the mystery opponent for Kelani and had an intense match with the Champion. Monroe didn’t like how Paige received a title shot. She disrespected her by claiming that she is on a nostalgia tour.
“nostalgia tour continues🥱,” she wrote.
Fans are hoping to see a program between the two stars on SmackDown in the future.
WWE Legend Bully Ray showered praise on Blake Monroe
While speaking on Busted Open, Bully Ray went on to praise Monroe. He revealed that he had been a fan of her before she joined the WWE. He praised how she does hardcore stuff in the ring and tells stories through violence. He stated that the Stamford-based company hasn’t scratched the surface with the former AEW Women’s World Champion’s potential.
“I have enjoyed Blake Monroe’s work since before she was Blake Monroe. And there’s just something about her when she does hardcore matches, when she does extreme matches, when she’s telling a story based in any type of match that is not a regular wrestling match. Blake Monroe, she’s a gorgeous woman. And then she goes and does all of this hardcore stuff. And to me, it just works. Like, no girl who is that hot should be able to do anything this violent. And I don’t think that they’ve even scratched the surface of what Blake Monroe could really do,” he said.
Fans are excited to see what is next for the Glamour on SmackDown.
