Ellis Jenkins, Josh Navidi and Alex Cuthbert will cycle over 300 miles in April, going from the Principality Stadium to the Eiffel Tower
Former Wales internationals Ellis Jenkins, Josh Navidi and Alex Cuthbert will cycle over 300 miles from the Principality Stadium to the Eiffel Tower for charity later this year.
The three will cycle to France over four days in April in support of MEDSERVE Wales. The charity offers critical lifeline to communities across south Wales.
MEDSERVE is a charity completely operated by volunteer medical professionals who deliver advanced care during major or complex incidents on top of their day jobs, providing life-saving medical car in a non-hospital setting.
The volunteers support the Welsh Ambulance Service by attending callouts and ensuring that communities receive advanced medical interventions when they need them most.
The trio of Wales internationals will spend four days riding to France from Cardiff between April 15th and 18th.
“I can ride a bike and I can dig in,” former Wales captain Jenkins told WalesOnline, “as long as it’s not too uphill!”
The former Cardiff openside added: “MEDSERVE and the essential services they provide made participating an easy decision in this 500km ride.
“It’s about more than just cycling; it’s about supporting those who are there when lives are on the line, I hope our fans will donate to this amazing cause”
Former Wales wing Cuthbert added: “The work MEDSERVE does is vital. They’re often there when people are having their worst of days helping save lives with their advanced medical abilities.
“Joining this ride was a no-brainer for me — I’m delighted to support such a crucial cause for people – I urge people to donate for our ride to continue the amazing work of MEDSERVE”.
