Banyan Trees in Phantom Blade Zero are spread across five regions and are part of the Heart of the Banyan quest. Visiting each tree triggers a combat challenge in which you must defeat two waves of enemies and a boss to earn a Banyan’s Heart. Clearing all five challenges is essential to complete the Heart of the Banyan quest.

There are five Banyan Trees in Phantom Blade Zero, and here’s where to find each one in the game:
Crimson Forest Banyan Tree location
The first Banyan Tree is located in Crimson Forest, south of the Burial Grounds bell. Head down the path until you encounter a vision of Inanis. Continue forward to find the Banyan Tree and interact with it to begin the challenge.
You must defeat two waves of bandits before facing Jing Ye the Outlaw, accompanied by two Bandits. Defeating the boss completes the challenge and rewards you with a Banyan’s Heart that you can use to unlock special skills.
Pangzhen Banyan Tree location
The second Banyan Tree in Phantom Blade Zero can be found in the western part of Pangzhen, near the Lion Dance Hall bell. Simply go past the Green Serpent House and the area where you fight You Loong to find the tree.
The first wave consists of Puppet Villagers and a Village Auntie with Child Puppets. The second wave features Yang Puppets, a Puppet Spearman, and a Swordshield Puppet. Once you defeat both waves, you must fight against Master Bi Yuan of the Tianxuan Sect to complete the challenge.

Mandate Encampment Banyan Tree location
You can find the third Banyan Tree near the starting area of Mandate Encampment by the Sunset Path bell. It is located on top of a cliff, and you can use your Hunter’s Chain Sickle ability to easily grapple to this spot.
The first wave consists of Baishan Scouts and Baishan Twinblades, while the second wave pits you against six Gold Men. After clearing both waves, you must defeat Stone Hand Iron Fever and Iron Fiend in a duo boss fight.
Meigu Lake Banyan Tree location
The fourth Banyan Tree is on an island in the southeastern part of Meigu Lake. Travel to the Lake Banyan Dock bell and head to the nearby island to find it.
The first wave features Shadow Wardens and a Shadow Warden Musketeer. The second wave includes a White-Robed Shadow Warden, a Blunderbuss Shadow Warden, and two Wildfire Shadow Wardens. The final encounter pits you against both Cavalrybane and Shadowclaimer simultaneously.
Mountain of Imprisonment Banyan Tree location
The fifth and final Banyan Tree in Phantom Blade Zero is located in the northwest section of Mountain of Imprisonment. To reach it, simply progress through the region until you open the Shrine Outer Gate. Afterward, cross the rope bridge to find the tree.
The first wave consists of several Brute variants and a Madwoman, while the second includes more Brutes, a Madwoman, and a Mad Arsonist. After defeating both waves, you must face Iron Butcher and Jagged Steel in a duo boss fight.
