Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC adds several new mounts for you to collect. As a sea-themed expansion, most of the new mounts are aquatic creatures that’ll make underwater exploration much more convenient. Many are variants of one another with distinct colors. That said, there are also new legendary mounts to chase after, like the Pink Dolphin and the Golden Shark.
In this guide, we’ll showcase all the new aquatic mounts you can find in the Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC and how to farm them.
How to find and tame new mounts in Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC
You can tame the new mounts underwater in two ways. First, immobilize them with Force Palm and complete the riding minigame. This option is mainly for aggressive mounts like Sharks. For neutral mounts like the Manta Ray, feed them to gain their trust. Once the progress reaches 100, you can register them as a mount.
Here are all the new tames found in the update so far, along with their locations and what to feed them:

You can find the regular Shark throughout the Central Waters region in the South Sea, but for guaranteed spawns, check near the Phragma Islands, a cluster of three small islands located a little to the right of the South Sea. Other spawns you may want to check are Great Coral Reef and the Great Rocky Reef.
You can also find the Hammerhead Shark in the same places as regular sharks, like the Central Waters and Great Coral Reef region. You may come across them while searching for a regular shark, which is fine, since both can help you fight creatures underwater.
The Golden Shark is a legendary mount in Crimson Desert, similar to the White Bear and Silver Fang. It spawns only in one spot on the map, which is slightly to the right of the Sea Serpent Kelp Forest. Spotting one shouldn’t be difficult as it stands out among all other marine creatures.

Orcas are some of the largest underwater predators in the game and can also be tamed as mounts. To find one, search the sea around the Central Waters stretch. The area is quite big, so finding one may take a while. Like sharks, it has a bite attack and will defend you during fights.

Unlike other underwater mounts, Spotted Seals spawn around the shores of Iliya Island in Crimson Desert. The island is located a little to the left of the Great Coral Reef. It’s a neutral creature, meaning you don’t need to fight it, but right now there’s no information on how to tame it as a mount. We’ll update the article once we know more.
