One of Cardiff Met, Cross Keys, Narberth or Ystrad Rhondda looks set to go down with Brecon
Beddau returned to the top of the Admiral Premiership after defeating neighbours Pontypridd 29-21 at Mount Pleasant Park.
Prop Sam Bixby barged over twice for the Green and Golds in a bonus-point triumph, with James Davies, Leon Rogers and Ethan Coombes also scoring.
Ollie Wilde added two conversions.
Joe Davies and Louis Tovey were the Ponty try scorers. Logan Jones kicked a conversion and three penalties. The defeat for Pontypridd, in third, looks to have all but ended their realistic chances of finishing top with only two games left.
The win took Beddau, who only have one game remaining, a point above Merthyr, who were not in action at the weekend.
However, the defending champions remain in the box seat to retain their title. The Ironmen have two games in hand on Beddau, and three to play.
At the other end of the table, bottom club Brecon’s relegation has been confirmed after they went down 41-20 at Llanelli Wanderers.
Llewelyn Bowen scored twice for Brecon and was joined on the scoresheet by Arwel Hughes, but they will be playing Championship rugby next season.
Tries for Lewis Jones, Sam Williams, Ryan Evans, Nick Gale, Gareth Havard, Max Jenkins and Dion Roberts secured a seven-try win for the Wanderers and also confirmed their Premiership status for next season.
One of Cardiff Met, Cross Keys, Narberth or Ystrad Rhondda will go down with Brecon.
Met, who were not in league action on Saturday, are now back in the bottom two on 40 points.
Crucially, they only have one game remaining, a trip to Llanelli Wanderers next Saturday.
Narberth leapfrogged Met and are out of the bottom two after defeating Neath 20-10 to move onto 41 points and massively boost their survival hopes.
Aled Davies and Jonathan Rogers scored the Otters tries, both converted by Rogers, who also kicked two penalties.
Gethin Tremlett and Sion Jones scored for Neath.
Narberth have also played two games fewer than Cardiff Met and won two more matches.
Cross Keys are also on 40 points but also have one more win and two games in hand on Met.
Newbridge are safe after defeating Bargoed 34-31, inspired by a hat-trick from wing Harry Jarvis. Lewis Hill was the other Newbridge scorer.
Sam Watkins added their other 14 points from the tee.
Will Gregory, Morgan Edwards, Dylan Williams and Lewis Bates (2) were the Bargoed try scorers. Matthew Lewis added three conversions.
Elsewhere, hooker Callum Jenkins was also on the treble trail to help guide Llangennech to a 43-38 victory in a 13-try thriller at Ystrad Rhondda. Louis Rees scored twice, with Shaun Edwards and Kalum Evans also going over for Llan.
Wing Kurtis Williams scored twice for Ystrad Rhondda with Alex Webber, Callum Phillips, Liam Wiggins and Calen Edwards also on the scoresheet.
Lewis Williams chipped in with four conversions as they secured two bonus points.
It means Ystrad need two points from their remaining two fixtures to secure safety.
They go to Cross Keys on Wednesday evening.
