With the Apex Legends Season 31 commencing, a new Ranked split has also begun. Now that all the Legend changes are in effect, the meta has also shifted quite a bit. Therefore, playing with the old meta characters might not increase your chances of winning a match.
In this article, we have placed every Legend in a tier list for Apex Legends Season 31’s Ranked Leagues.

Apex Legends Season 31 Legend tier list for Ranked Leagues
We will be categorizing and placing all Apex Legends Season 31 Legends into 4 tiers. They are:

SS tier
All Legends in the SS tier are the best at what they do. Picking any of them will help you dominate every match with very little effort. Furthermore, if you master any Legend in this tier, you’ll be unstoppable by executing the right strategies.
S tier
All Legends in this tier aren’t as strong as those in the SS tier. However, they are useful in most situations.
A tier
Characters in the A tier don’t have that much impact in a match and are overshadowed by the abovementioned tiers.
B tier
Every B tier character lacks versatility and is better suited for casual game modes.
SS-tier
Crypto
With the Crypto changes in effect, he is by far the best Legend you can use in Apex Legends Season 31 Ranked Leagues. His drone can now mark an enemy to track them for a prolonged period. However, the main selling point of his kit is the amount of damage his ultimate can deal.
Like before, Crypto’s EMP blast deals a decent amount of damage when you activate it. However, if the drone has direct vision on you, the blast will immediately crack your shield, regardless of the EVO level. Hence, if you manage to crack at least two adversaries right before pushing in, you can easily secure the squad wipe with very minimal effort.
Moving on, Lifeline is a force to be reckoned with in Apex Legends Season 31. The Legend has received a decent number of buffs, making her kit exceptionally potent in the current meta. With the reduced tactical cooldown, she can heal her allies more frequently. If you use the Power AMP, the cooldown will go down by a couple of seconds.
Besides that, the highlight of Lifeline’s kit is her Level 3 EVO perk, which allows her to use a shield while reviving an ally. Since enemies cannot shoot through the shield, you can use it as cover (similar to her ultimate or Gibraltar Dome) against enemies pushing you.
Unlike others, the Revenant buffs aren’t as significant. However, it is enough to make him playable in Ranked Leagues. With a lowered tactical cooldown and pounce charge time, you can frequently jump around the map. This will also help you push towards a team after securing a knockdown.
Besides that, Revenant’s ultimate cooldown has been reduced. Hence, if you time it correctly, you can get some additional health in every fight. If you like to fight all the time, then we recommend carrying some ultimate accelerators.
Although Alter didn’t receive any tweaks to her kit in Apex Legends Season 31, she is still one of the strongest Skirmishers. Her tactical is exceptionally powerful for pushing in and out of a building. Also, you can use her tactical to easily go to places or buildings.
Alter’s ultimate is also an exceptional ability. If a push goes wrong or all of your teammates are on the brink of getting knocked down, it allows you to fall back and stabilize before pushing again.
Like Alter, Catalyst also didn’t receive any changes in Apex Legends Season 31. Since most of the Ranked maps have a lot of buildings, especially E-District, Catalyst is a good option to control space. The more you control, the higher your chances of winning the fight become.
On top of that, you can easily deny pushes just by rebuilding doors. Since a lot of the buildings have Hardlight meshes, Catalyst can also reinforce those to ensure the enemies cannot get inside the building.
While they are not as powerful as the Legends in SS-tier, everyone in S-tier packs a punch. If you are bored of using all the meta-defining characters, you can use them while also dominating every match:

Pathfinder
Seer
Conduit
Gibraltar
All of the Legends in this tier are fairly balanced. They can easily adapt to any situations thrown at them. While Bangalore has the capabilities to push into the SS-tier, there are some downsides to her kit. Besides that, Pathfinder is a strong option for ranking up.
With the series of Axle nerfs over the seasons, she is not what she used to be. Currently, she cannot shine on her own, which is why she is in the A-tier. Moving on, Mad Maggie and others need help from at least one of their teammates to shine on the battlefield.
The characters in the B-tier are not useful in Ranked Leagues. Since everyone will likely be playing with meta-defining Legends, you will just lower your winning chances if you pick these characters:

Vantage
Octane
Mirage
Caustic can easily be countered by a handful of Legends as well as throwables. On the other hand, Mirage and Octane’s kits feel lackluster in the current meta and are in need of some changes to become viable.
